Dilan Özdemir is one of the most free-spirited and rebellious visual artists in Istanbul. She received her artistic education in London, UK. As a part of London artistic community Dilan did not limit herself in any way in her art and gave free rein to even the boldest and most outrageous ideas.

When Dilan returned to Istanbul, she opened her own art studio where she continued to create her free-spirited “chaos” art. Her approach never ceases to amaze – Dilan can create paintings from anything that falls within her realm of experience. She boldly experiments with materials, mediums, and forms.

When you acquaint yourself with Dilan’s art, it awakens the courage to create within you. It seems to be one of the most valuable gifts that an artist can give to the world – inspiration for courage, creativity, and freedom.

With her art Dilan declares — you can create a painting from tickets, film photographs, wax, threads — from anything you like.

It’s just a sweet mess. Our life. Art is a reflection of this mess – we can arrange it however and wherever we please for our own enjoyment.

We invite you to the Dilan Özdemir exhibition, so you can be inspired by this liberating creative energy.

The exhibition will take place from September 27th to 29th at the wonderful venue hosted by our dear friends Grao Cafeteria.

And on all days of the exhibition, Dilan will be conducting workshops on creating collages, coffee paintings, and will teach you various interesting and accessible creative techniques. If you’re not yet an artist, you’ll definitely become one at the Dilan Özdemir exhibition.

The majority of Dilan’s works will be available for purchase at the event.

The exhibition is part of the international project to support artists EV ARTSPACE.
