“Dreams of Simplicity” is a photo series by Angelika Nikolaeva that encapsulates the evolving immigrant dreams in the face of constant change. Amidst the flux of a new life, it explores the longing for the simplicity of a familiar home, portraying the delicate balance between evolving aspirations and a yearning for the uncomplicated essence of home life.
This series was exhibited in Tokyo, Japan, curated by Dr. Nuk Gokbulut, who selected Angelika’s works for their emotional depth and significance.
The primary goal of “Dreams of Simplicity” is to immerse the viewer into the world of immigrant experiences and ambitions as they navigate new life conditions while holding onto the idea of simplicity and comfort that characterized their homeland. Each photograph carries a certain melancholy for the past, mixed with hope for the future.

“Sadelik Hayalleri,” Angelika Nikolaeva’nın, sürekli değişim karşısında gelişen göçmen hayallerini kapsayan bir fotoğraf serisidir. Yeni bir hayatın akışı içinde, tanıdık bir evin sadeliğine duyulan özlemi keşfeder ve gelişen arzular ile ev hayatının sade özüne duyulan özlem arasındaki hassas dengeyi tasvir eder.
